The Pact 2019 lives up to Faust legend with beautiful dark blueberry and blackberry aromas over layers of crushedrock minerality, haunting forest notes and hints of violet. With the texture of velvet—luxuriously dense—the palate wraps that core of blue and back fruit with the barest edge of bright cherry spiced with star anise and savory dried tarragon. The Coombsville AVA is Napa Valley’s southernmost growing region for Cabernet Sauvignon, and our estate was among its first vineyards planted in 1998. Nestled into the rocky ruins of an ancient caldera, volcanic soils and marine breezes from the nearby San Pablo Bay combine to offer polish and structure alongside consistent Napa ripeness.
