Vineyard Notes

Eighty percent of the vineyard is made up of sandy gravel, the remaining 20% being deep earth that is a mixture of clay, limestone and gravel. The plots have a heterogenous soil on a subsoil that introduces numerous aromatic nuances. At the bottom of the slopes the presence of natural springs ensures perfect drainage of the vineyard and prevents the stagnation of humidity.

Winemaking

G of Château Guiraud is a dry white wine made from grapes harvested at full maturity. Fermenting: 80% in oak barrels that have been used for the Sauternes great growth; 20% in stainless steel tank. Fermentation lasts for about 3 weeks. Malolactic: depend of the vintage

Ageing

It is aged for approximately 7 months in the oak barrels that produced the previous years Grand Cru. It reveals richness of expression and an assertive personality.

Chateau Cellars Notes

Another excellent vintage for Bordeaux's dry whites, which tend to be vastly underrated. Subtle hints of pineapple, Thai lemongrass, orange blossoms and crushed rock jump from the glass of this medium bodied wine, racy and charming.
